DIL TOH BACHA HAI JI 6*

Direction     : Madhur Bhandarkar

Genre          : Comedy/Romance

Music          : Pritam

Cast            : Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Omi Vaidya, Shazahn Padamsee, Shraddha Das, Shruti Hassan

Review        : “Dil To Bacha Hai Ji” is nice move and a good try by director Madhur Bhandarkar. The movie Dil To Bacha Hai Ji is funny most of the time but sometimes it seems lengthy. Overall the movie is nice and has the ability to bind the audience.

Light movie DTBHJ has Naren (Ajay Devgn), a 38-years old divorced bank manager. His life takes a turn when he falls for young June Pinto (Shahzane Padamsee), doing her interns under him. Naren tries to woo her funnily.DTBHJ fundu ajay1 Dil To Bacha Hai Ji Movie Review, watchable one

Millind Kelkar (Omi Vaidya), a simple romantic guy who is inexpressive-ly  expressive with his funny poetry. Millind has a crush on radio jockey  Gungun (Sharaddha Das). His DIL goes UUm when he has have glance at  her.

There is this another guy Abhay (Emraan Hashmi), a playboy and gym  instructor. Abhay tries to make up with millionaire married woman Anushka  (Tisca Chopra), a former beauty queen for her money. But finds himself  getting in love wit her step-daughter Nikki (Shruti Hassan).Dil+Toh+Bac+Hai+Ji+emran Dil To Bacha Hai Ji Movie Review, watchable one

These all “At The Moment” situations makes the movie funny.

The trio of Naren, Millind and Abhay does an excellent work for Madhur. Shahzane shows promise again among the actresses. Shruti Hassan does still really have to improve.

Dil To Bacha Hai Ji is a nice movie at the end. It is a film about unrequited love, heartbreaks, and renewed hopes. Young audience can relate to the movie by watching some incidents in the movie.

MEGAMIND 8.5*

Direction  : Tom McGrath

Writers  : Alan J Schoolcraft, Brent Simons

Cast : Will Ferrell, Jonah Hill Ad Brad Pitt

The supervillain Megamind finally conquers his nemesis, the hero Metro Man... but finds his life pointless without a hero to fight.

An animated film about a master villain who turns out to be not as nasty as he first seems? Doesn’t that sound like Despicable Me? Actually, Megamind, directed by Tom McGrath, who was behind the Madagascar series, and written by Alan J Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, is like a whole lot of Hollywood movies (Superman and The Karate Kid just a few of them). It’s meant to be a children’s film but, as is often the case these days, is so wordy, so knowing, so citational that it appears to have been made solely for adults.

Made by DreamWorks, this would-be family affair begins with Megamind (voiced by Will Ferrell) falling through the skies to what seems certain death. As he plummets, he thinks about his early life, its glumness and sorrows, and talks the viewer through a catalogue of his failures.

His face is detergent blue. He has a head that makes him look like a cross between an earnest electronica musician and a dogged Central European midfielder struggling to keep his place in a Premiership team. At school almost every experiment he tried backfired. Classmates shunned him. His only friend was a piranha-robot called Minion (David Cross).

The older he grew, the more often he came up against his nemesis Metro Man (Brad Pitt). If Megamind was cold and creepy, Metro Man was adored by all the residents of Metro City for his handsome features, glossy hair (marred only by a touch of dandruff), and his dashing heroism. Even Roxanne Ritchi (Tina Fey), a foxy TV news reporter whose job requires her to stay neutral, nearly faints each time she sees the golden-boy redeemer.

KUDUMBASREE TRAVELS 6*

Direction                   : Kiran

Banner                      : Mythree Visuals

Story & Screenplay  : Kiran

Dialogue                   : Thomas Thoppilkkudi

Lyrics                       : Vayalar Sarathchandra varma

Music                        : Biji bal

Cast                          : Jayaram, Bhavana, Radhika, Jagthy, Mamukkoya, Maniyanpilla raju, Kottayam Nazir, Janardhanan, Kalpana, KPAC Lalitha.

Review                      :
Debutant director Kiran’s Kudumbasree Travels is meant to be a fun ride from the word go. Well, there is a decent storyline and some twists which are intended to give it a serious look but the problem is that one can find only a few genuinely hilarious scenes in this comedy!
Aravindan (Jayaram) is a Chakyarkoothu artiste living in a remote village. His uncle, played by Jagathy Sreekumar, wants him to marry his daughter. But Aravindan is adamant that he would tie the knot only with a Nangiarkoothu artiste.
Finally, he finds the right match in Aswathy (Bhavana), who lives in a plush apartment in Kochi, but is very particular about the traditional values. Now, the groom and his party start their journey in an old bus called ‘Kudumbasree Travels’ to the city, for the wedding. Meanwhile a young girl (played by Radhika) becomes part of the journey, but she is there with a mission.
With a rather old fashioned storyline and presentation, the film has its ups and downs, just as in a roller coaster ride. Some of the characters, evidently included for some laughs, end up looking half-baked, contrived and boring. There are some scenes which could have been developed into nicer situations, but looks surprisingly dull.
Jayaram has nothing much to do in the whole film and he shines whenever given a chance. It is a pity that such a gifted mimicry artiste like Jayaram hasn’t been used well in this humorous film, though he is the hero. Bhavana too has nothing much to do other than to pose as a bridegroom, most of the time. The rest of the cast have done a decent job. The camera by Murali Raman and the music by Biji Bal are okay.
If your idea of entertainment is a mindless comedy, the kind which you see repeatedly on TV, Kudumbasree Travels could be a watchable fare at best. For the rest of you who are looking for some quality humour, this might not be for you. Now you decide to which category you belong to.
